GIVE TO LINCOLN - GIVE TO SCOYF
Give To Lincoln Day (G2LD) is an annual activity sponsored by the Lincoln Community Foundation to support local nonprofit organizations. Donors contribute to LCF on behalf of the organizations they support. In 2020, LCF is providing a $500,000 incentive to the organizations on a prorata basis of all dollars raised. During its 8th year in 2019, $5,580,000 was raised. So....if SCOYF donors’ contributions totaled $12,000 and the total raised by all organizations was $6 million, we would receive 0.2% of the incentive....an additional $1,000.
Gifts may be made:
Online – with credit or debit card at www.givetolincoln.com between May 1 and May 28.
Personal check payable to Lincoln Community Foundation – Must be mailed to LCF by May 23 at 215 Centennial Mall South Ste 100, Lincoln NE 68508. Must place SCOYF in the memo line. If donating to multiple organizations, include list of who gets how much. Checks may also be personally delivered to LCF on May 28.
IRA – for donors 70 ½ or older, a qualified charitable distribution may be made by May 15 on a special LCF request form.
LCF Donor Advised Fund – minimum $100 gift transfers between April 15 and May 28 avoid the 2.9% transaction fee for online, checks, and IRA.
